What Will Happen with AI in 2024?

My Brief Prediction – Screenshot This and Hold Me Accountable Next Year :)

  1. Even More Realistic Deepfakes and Phishing. The first, and perhaps most pessimistic, trend. Expect more scams. In 2023, we already saw several convincing deepfakes that were hard to distinguish. In 2024, we'll reach a stage where humans can't tell apart what's AI-generated and what's a real photo/video (see the link to a game I posted some time ago on LinkedIn in the comments). Most people will use solutions like AI or Not .
  2. Increased Interaction with Generative Models. There will be more content generation on social media, even more digital models, more AI-generated product photos, and common article-level verification like that available in ZeroGPT .
  3. AI Directors in (almost) Every Major Organization. In line with point 2. These directors will be responsible for overseeing how employees use AI in daily work, educating teams on optimal AI utilization, and advising what company data should not be entered into ChatGPT and other language models.
  4. Revolution in Preventative Medicine. Especially in Poland, where the mentality is often "visit a doctor when things get bad," I've noticed, both personally and among friends, that instead of Googling symptoms (which always seems to diagnose cancer?), we prefer asking ChatGPT, which always advises when it's appropriate to consult a doctor. I'm not advocating for or convincing anyone to rely on such diagnostics, but CGPT was my #1 doctor in 2023 right after DokDok - luckily, I wasn't seriously ill and could afford the luxury of calming my inner hypochondriac from home :)
  5. Increased Automation in Companies. The importance of having organized data in companies will grow; without it, automating processes is out of the question. In the competitive world of 2024, there will be no room for manual data collection. Quick decision-making will become even more crucial.
  6. We'll Appreciate Human-to-Human Contact More. Companies will increasingly test automation (but don't fear layoffs, prepare for new challenges in your jobs). You know that feeling when you want to talk to a human but first have to get through a phone with an AI assistant? "Answer just 123 questions about what you want to discuss, then wait 20 minutes in queue to talk to a consultant." While B2C automation solutions will improve, I expect strong human interaction to maintain its position in the B2B sector.
  7. Greater Role of AI in Education. Whoever didn't try to learn something new with ChatGPT in 2023 should cast the first stone. Thanks to Chat, I finally started being active on LinkedIn, sending topics, finding information, getting creative inspiration, and making action plans. AI is the milestone I always missed between "wanting to do something" and "actually doing it.". Btw, if you have no idea how to utilize CGPT in Education, feel free to contact me directly!

P.S. This list was created without AI involvement, and the content is 100% human-generated (me).

Technology enthusiast, advising and helping companies achieve their goals since 2015. I love computer games and live by the motto "work smart, not hard," although I must admit, it's hard to keep up with everything that has been happening in AI for the past year :)
