What requirements do you have from computational models for the European energy transition?

If we are to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement and the European Green Deal, we must create a net-zero emissions energy system. A new set of energy modelling tools is needed to explore potential energy futures and opportunities to transform existing energy systems.

If you are a model developer, or a user of models as well as their results, please take part in our survey, and help us learning more about the requirements for energy models to support decision-making for the European energy transition.

You can access the survey here: https://lnkd.in/eG4mMGT. The survey will be online until the 24th of July 2020.

In particular, the survey is aimed at energy modellers, as well as decision-makers from business, politics, and civil society, and its goal is to shed light on the diverse needs for energy models, supporting decision-making for the European energy transition, and to identify development deficits.

The survey is conducted by the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS), the Renewables Grid Initiative (RGI), and the Technoeconomics of Energy Systems laboratory (TEESlab) in the framework of the EU H2020 SENTINEL project, and in collaboration with its sister project “openENTRANCE”.

If you have any questions regarding this survey or our study, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Dr. Diana Süsser (diana.suesser@iass-potsdam.de).

If you find our survey interesting, please help us in spreading the word!

Thank you for your support!
