When They Say You've Changed, You've Actually Grown: The Way of the Hounds

When They Say You've Changed, You've Actually Grown: The Way of the Hounds

As the leader of the Hounds of Business Community , I've witnessed more transformations than a chameleon at a disco. It reminds me of what Chris Williamson once said: "When your friends start to say 'you've changed' - remember it's because they don't know how to say 'you've grown.'" In our neck of the woods, that quote rings truer than a dinner bell on a quiet country evening.

The Heart of the Pack

Now, let me tell y'all something about our Hounds of Business Community. We ain't your average group of entrepreneurs scratchin' and clawin' their way to the top. No siree, we're a heart-centered, high-level online business community . We're all about pushin' each other up, not pullin' each other down.

Fostering Natural Relationships

In our pack, we believe that the best business deals are born from genuine connections and organically formed collaborations. We're not just networking; we're expanding our close-knit business community based on shared core values. When one of us grows, we all grow. It's like a garden where every flower gets its time in the sun, and boy, do we make sure to water each other plenty.

The Hound's Howl of Success

When someone in our community starts to shine a little brighter, we don't say they've changed in a negative way. Instead, we celebrate their growth because we are all trying to grow into our best-selves here. Here's what that looks like in the HOB:

  1. We're always sniffin' out opportunities for each other. No man or woman is an island. We don’t reach massive success alone in silos.
  2. Our tails wag double-time when a pack member lands a big deal, as we celebrate our wins together.
  3. We howl together at the moon of success, no matter who caught the rabbit. We shine a spotlight on each other, not just ourselves.

Collaborations That Make Our Tails Wag

Now, let me tell you about the magic that happens when Hounds collaborate . It's like a good ol' country hoedown where everyone brings their best dish to the potluck.

Take the recent example of two Hounds . One member’s online coaching business was growin' faster than a weed in spring, but she was strugglin' to keep up with the tech side. Another Hound, with her software savviness, stepped in. Together, they cooked up a platform that made her business run smoother than butter on a hot biscuit. That's the kind of natural, fun, and profitable collaboration we're talkin' about.

The Growing Pains: Losing Old Friends and Facing Criticism

Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room - or should I say, the old hound on the porch. Growth ain't always a walk in the park. Sometimes, it feels like you're trudgin' through a briar patch, leaving behind pieces of your old self - and some old friendships too.

When you start chasin' bigger dreams, some folks might look at you like you've got two heads. Old partners might feel left behind, and habits that once felt comfy as an old collar might start to chafe. This was absolutely terrifying for me when I first experienced it in a big way.

But remember and recall this simple truth each and every day: You have to prune the old branches to bare new fruit. Heal yourself from the inside out so the hurtful things folks may say or may treat you doesn’t steal your future success and legacy. In the end you will say, “it was never between me and them, it was between me and the impact I was made to make”.

They aren’t against you, they are just not ready to do the hard work to grow to the next level yet. Be as humble, compassionate, and patient as possible, but do not compromise your dreams and the discipline it takes to win in this world.

But here's the thing about growth - sometimes you gotta shed your old coat to grow a new one. It don't mean you love your old friends any less; it just means you're runnin' on a different trail now.

Handling the Heat When You're Cookin' Up Success

Criticism can feel like a swarm of gnats on a humid day - annoying and hard to shake off. But in the Hounds of Business pack , we've learned to see it differently. We view criticism as proof you're doing something worth noticing.

When the naysayers start barkin', remember:

  1. Their words say more about their fears than your dreams
  2. Every “big dog” started as a pup that someone said would never amount to much
  3. The only way to avoid criticism is to do nothin', say nothin', and be nothin' - and that ain't no way to live
  4. Remember what David Goggins once said, “You will never have a hater that is more successful than you are”.

Leavin' a Legacy: Why We Do What We Do

Now, let's get down to the meat and potatoes of why we're all here - leavin' a legacy. In the Hounds of Business community , we ain't just chasin' our tails for the fun of it. We're here to make a mark, to leave the world a little better than we found it.

Leavin' a legacy means:

  • Blazin' trails for the pups comin' up behind us
  • Using our success to lift up our communities
  • Creating businesses that'll keep waggin' long after we've chased our last rabbit

It ain't always easy, and sometimes it means makin' tough choices. But at the end of the day, knowin' you're buildin' somethin' that'll outlast you - well, that's sweeter than honey on a warm biscuit.

Embracin' the New You (and Each Other)

So next time someone gives you that sideways look and says, "You've changed," just wag your tail and say, "Thank you kindly for noticin' my growth. Would love for you to come along with me when you are ready!"

In the Hounds of Business community , we don't just accept growth - we chase it like it's the mailman. We're out there in the field, sniffin' out success and howlin' at the moon of opportunity, all while making sure no pup gets left behind.

Remember, in this pack:

  • Every Hound has its day
  • We hunt together, so we feast together
  • A rising tide lifts all boats (or in our case, all paws)
  • Sometimes you gotta leave the porch to chase your dreams

Keep growin', keep collaboratin', and keep runnin' with the Hounds of Business. After all, in this heart-centered pack, your success is my success, and together, we're howlin' all the way to the top! And when the going gets tough, remember - every great oak was once a nut that stood its ground.
