Believe it or not, it’s not only SaaS sales that I’m passionate about. For many years, I’ve been interested in property development (the one thing I have kept a secret…until now). That’s why when Founder and CEO Kane Andrews asked me to join Rockstar Property Partners as Sales Director, I was thrilled to accept.

Kane has created a trailblazing company with a fantastic backstory and big plans for the future. In this article, I’ll tell you more about Rockstar and why I can’t wait to be part of the next chapter.

Origin story

Kane Andrews began his career as a musician. He became a professional drummer at the age of 11. By 22, he was touring the world. During that world tour, Kane set himself the goal of saving enough money to buy a house when he returned. He scraped enough to buy a two-up-two-down in Nottingham for £9,000. He refurbished the house himself, leaving just £80 in his account when he’d finished.

During his next tour in 2010, Kane realised his passion lay in business, so he left the tour and focused on building companies. He started After School Arts, which he licensed and later sold. His next venture, West End Academy, leveraged the franchising model. Kane sold that business too.

When Kane bought his second house and ‘accidentally’ turned it into an HMO (House in Multiple Occupation) by splitting the property up room-by-room, it was a lightbulb moment. Kane realised he could make 3-4x the amount of money his neighbours were making on their properties by renting each section out separately to students. From then on, it was property all the way. Kane bought more and more houses on that same road, turning them all into HMOs. What was buy-to-sell became buy-and-hold.

Kane scaled his approach by starting Rockstar Property Partners by raising private finance: He raised £800K on his first day of trading, £2 million within 14 months and a total of £4 million to date. Since starting Rockstar, Kane has acquired and developed over 75 HMOs. But now it’s time for the next chapter. Rockstar 2.0.

Rockstar 2.0

The next phase of Rockstar Property Partners will begin on January 1st next year. It involves saying goodbye to HMOs and setting our sights sky high, quite literally. Rockstar will focus on acquiring and developing much larger assets: office spaces, bigger residential properties and tower blocks.

And that’s why Kane has brought me on board. I will be in charge of raising the funds to bring his plan to life. During my time at Sales Confidence and my other ventures, I’ve demonstrated that I know how to build a network, get people in a room and use my charisma to convert them into customers. Together, Kane, his team and I will catapult Rockstar from small projects to significant assets.

Why I joined Rockstar

As I said at the start of this article, I’ve been interested in property for a long time. Getting into the industry has been something I’ve wanted to do for a while, but I never found the right person to work with - until now.

Kane is an exceptional entrepreneur. His track record of success is up there with the best in the property industry. His energy, expertise and credibility are unrivalled. But he’s also humble and honest - and has built Rockstar from the ground-up. Kane’s vision for Rockstar is to operate ethically in an industry that doesn’t always do that, putting ‘people before profit’. Kane and his team always play fair, even if it means leaving money on the table. Rockstar are good to their staff and the tenants in their properties. They believe that when you’re kind and straightforward, everybody wins.

I also believe that, at Rockstar, I can connect people in my network with opportunities that will benefit them massively. I’ve been connecting people to job opportunities and game-changing technology for a long time, but property gives people access to a different level of return through its investment model. As much as I’m excited to help Kane take Rockstar to the next level, I’m excited to help people in my network make smart investments and win.
