Why PR is a necessity

Why PR is a necessity

" Hi everyone, I'm back, " shrieked Doubting Debbie ( aka Debbie Jenkins , quickly becoming more daring this year in her matching pants and bra.

" And have I got news for you!! Genuinely I am excited to deliver today's 'lecture.'

They all giggled.

" But first, I have been doing these movements thingies on my body, to help me to feel calmer and more relaxed, and honestly they have changed my life, but more on these in our next session, as I want to do a demonstration to you all ok? "

Ok, they chorused not quite knowing what she meant but thoroughly intrigued, nevertheless. 😅

" So folks I am just fresh from a meeting with one of my Cheerleading PR team and I want to share with you why PR is a necessity for you all because it is.

So grab your notebooks, as we all know writing things down with a pen, old school style helps it imprint in our brains to remember it, which is half the challenge to then remember to apply it! Even more so with a menopausal brain like mine!

1. PR is a necessity because we all want to reach new audiences, don't we?

" Well obviously, tell me something I don't know will you! " piped up Narcissistic Nina.

I know it sounds maybe to you Nina, but to myself and the rest of us, we might not have fully connected the dots.
I hadn't fully, as I had been stuck in a teeny bit of fear about what others might think about me being in the media, and held myself back.

I digress.

So, being in the media you get to be seen by tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people, which I don't know about you, is way more than my typical reach online and or my email list.
And of course, you want to target the media which your ideal clients hang out at too, so to speak.
This is so true Debs, shared Random Reena (aka Susannah Simmons ) I know when it finally dawned on me the impact of PR even though I discovered it's a slow burn it is now a no-brainer to do it which is why I am working with your Cheerleading PR team Debs.

Right, it's a no-brainer

Number two:

What is this design of?

Why Pr is a necessity .

A plant?

A fruit?

A Womb?

Many of them were scratching their heads.

" I sense it's a fruit, said Spiritual Sue ( aka Karen Bashford )

" I think it's a plant," Chipped in Fabulous Felicity (aka Lucy Hall )

" Yes, it's a plant, said a confident Tina the Trainer ( aka Clare Samuels )

"You are all wrong it's a womb! Obvious, to me,' " said a rather arrogant Nina the Narcissist (whose identity remains a secret)

Grabbing the 'mic' back Debbie declared :

" Well, this is the purpose of this mini 'chat.'

Whatever it might be you are all confused about it, right?"

Right, they nodded in agreement aside from Nina who was just scrolling through her phone now as she had just zoned out.

" Well, this could be how your potential ideal clients might see you.

So, why PR is such a necessity because it makes you better at communicating what you do, as you have been clearer to be in the media.

So number two is:

2. PR makes you a better communicator

It's an endless masterclass in communicating in the media, and everyone myself included needs to become better. It's a skill to master on the daily.
When you go into the media, it helps you forcibly to hone your communication skills so that more and more people know who you are what you do and what value you bring into the world.

" So good Debs,' said Reena encouragingly.

" I know when I started working with your Cheerleading PR team, it was a rude awakening in how I needed to become a lot clearer and at times a lot more concise about what I was saying, I admit it was tough to do at first but like with anything the more you practice the better you become at it."

" For me too Reena, although I am still a bit behind you, not that it's a race!! " Shared Spiritul Sue, as they both roared with laughter.

But it is a race and I am still beating you all,' said a rather earnest Nina the Narcissist.

Whilst the others just smirked silently!

And finally. number three, drum roll, please!!

3. PR attracts new opportunities

For example: these opportunities might be new clients to work with as they see you in the media and decide that they want to work with you as they now see you as much more credible!

It could mean that you are offered more speaking opportunities by being in the mead as you are considered more of an authority in your field.

It would mean that other business owners step forward to want to collaborate with you as your profile has been raised.

" This is so useful because I know my profile is pretty good, but being in Fortune and the Irish Times last year helped me to reach new audiences, and more people signed up for my newsletter, without a doubt from these.

I know when I start to ramp up my marketing for my forthcoming book, I will be calling on your Cheerleading PR team Debs, because I know I cannot do it all. I just don't have the mental capacity! ," said Fabulous Felicity

.They all giggled again!

Ok guys I have to go as I need the loo!

Tears of joy streamed down their faces, as they all clicked out of the Zoom table with huge grins .
