Why is Safety ignored?

Why is Safety ignored?

From time to time, there has been some safety issues that have been ignored either intentionally or unintentionally by either employees or employers. You might have been a witness to this at some point. This can be because of this;

  • Skipping safety rules.

This habit is mainly practiced by employees. It is known that there are some employees who will deliberately and intentionally skip safety rules set forth by their companies. Such employees do this to try to finish a task in a minimum time so they can embark on something else and others just do it rebelliously because they don't have the passion for their job no more. When this happens, it puts other employees at risk of getting hurt, injured or worst of all lead to death. It is important that companies enforce safety rules and also put in place checks and balances to make sure their employees follow the set safety rules and guidelines.

  • Ignoring safety rules.

In the reason above, we saw that employees tend to skip safety rules even though they know it or not. You must also remember that these employees have been provided with safety guideline manuals. Now that, that is out of the way, some safety rules are enforced by the state, government and others just by the company. Some companies have at some point been identified as those companies that have practiced ignoring safety. The reason for this is at times at a discretion that "that" safety measure is not directly affecting their employees. Another big reason which is not usually talked about, is the financial reason. Companies have seen ignoring safety rules in order to save money even after the employees have advised them about the safety dangers they are facing in their work places. If you are an employee and you don't feel safe, please contact your company's safety compliance department or no action is taken, contact the labor department.

Your work Place.

Some of you who have worked in the Airline industry, you know that it is one of the most challenging and dangerous places to work in especially for those on the front line (Ground Operators). Not being biased, it provides some of the best benefits among other industries. Working conditions during poor weather can pose a low visibility, which conditions make it harder even for planes to land or be guided into their designated gates and this causes delays. Due to this, First Light, LLC has introduced a new and improved Safety directional wands (pictured above) which are user friendly and Eco-friendly. These wands are light weight, rechargeable and very bright. These features will enable your employees direct planes into their designated gates very well because the pilots will have a very clear view of the guide persons holding these bright Rechargeable Safety Wands (RSW).

RSW can also be used in other work places such as police officers directing traffic during low visibility conditions. Truckers guiding trucks at construction sites or parking them during low visibility conditions. Fire fighters and parking lot attendants can also deploy these wands in their working places.
