Working on green healthy cities

Resilience Guard GmbH leads one out of the eleven project Work Packages (WPs), namely "Evaluation of the euPOLIS solutions, Training and Capacity Building". The main objective of this WP is to develop a solid evidence base demonstrating that BGS/NBS are superior to current state-of-the-art conventional solutions, especially due to the important co-benefits (including social, cultural, health, biodiversity, security and inclusivity) they can create and, accordingly, are worth pursuing on a global scale.

Overall, Resilience Guard GmbH will lead, co-lead with other consortium partners and participate in several tasks of the euPOLIS project that involve:

  • Stakeholder Mapping, analysis and guidelines for their systematic involvement.
  • Stakeholders and wide public participatory planning education.
  • Stakeholder benchmarking against previous urban regeneration endeavours.
  • Local conditions, features, gaps in existing NBS, requirements for candidate technologies and optimisation metrics for the cities involved.
  • Baseline status and indicators identification.
  • Pre-normative and pre-standardisation activities.
  • Data acquisition and handling in line with data protection and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements.
  • Capacity building. Organise and provide expert training to the demo sites from the stakeholders involved, based on their view of the NBS quality system.
  • Development of the community guide and mentoring sessions for replication of social-cultural-urban hub in follower cities. Support and facilitate mentoring of all the follower cities based on international training and awareness good practice.
  • Exploitation and business plan development.
  • Knowledge and Information Management. Ensure that that all relevant data protection and management practices are followed and privacy issues taken into consideration based on GDPR requirements.
