What's Cookin' with DoubleGlassEntertainment Underground Music?

This year has been more of a challenge than any of the prior few years for DoubleGlassEntertainment (D.G.E.). Obstacles, disappointments and over stretched hopes have been the forefront of this year 2015.  Although, digital download results did not top our 2014 results we are still pleased with the growing response of new listeners and fans. The feedback is great!

"Everything takes time, and yet it has been still only 3 years for our underground digital record label"

We took a few chances with music production leaving some results rocky while others were smooth sailing. Artists- Gari Romalis, Bad Beats '87, Ron Scott, and Lady Named Tracie have contributed to our label in a major way. Without them, D.G.E. would have struggled thus far, but because of them we have managed to make a scene within this world of underground music.

With Bad Beats '87's track single "Wesley" placing at #58 in the genre of Nu Jazz-Broken Beats of Traxsource his first run out of the gate for D.G.E.; Ron Scott's track single "Jazz Man" placing in the Afro House Essentials of Traxsource his first run out of the gate for D.G.E., and Lady Named Tracie's track single "Reminiscing N U-Underground In Motown" & Reminiscing N U (Confused Mix) both placing in: Jackin' House Essentials only months apart, as well her track singles "That Hot" making the Deep House Essentials- LW (Labelworx Distribution) compilation and her track single "Wit U" making the LW compilation Soulful House Essentials, for D.G.E. was/is HUGE for us!

This a cut throat music world, and underground music (in digital distribution) has thee worst time of all in music unless it's something produced for the main stream. Tracks get played though shares mostly, yet cash results are less and less when it comes to digital downloads. It is so unfair to the artists and the label, but we at (D.G.E.) still strive to be the best that we can be.

"Vinyl (to us) is still where cash flows for underground music, and where we hope to venture to in the coming year"

In thee end we learned from everything that we have done musically in 2014 and in 2015. Everything takes time, and yet it has been still only 3 years for our underground record label est. in 2012.

We look forward to the new year coming; 2016!

New Music, remixes and just plain ole D.G.E. DETROIT underground music!!
