How to generate more franchise leads on social media

Sometimes the best way to sell a new lead on your franchise is just to listen. With social media, you can listen 24/7. People are constantly tweeting and posting their thoughts and ideas, and you have the ability to instantly engage with them, if you choose.

Here are two ways you can start engaging franchise leads you didn’t even know existed with social media:

  1. Search social media for your brand and your products and services – Login to Twitter or Facebook and search your franchise name. Search your products and search your services. You’ll be amazed at what you’ll find. For example, a local small engine repairman began engaging people on Twitter who would post about troubles with their lawn mowers. He would offer tips on how to get a mower started, or potential repair solutions. In the span of a few days, he gained several new clients who were in need of his services. You can do the same thing by using your expertise to help others.
  2. Monitor franchise language – While you’re at it, search for franchise keywords such as franchise investment and entrepreneurship. See what people are saying. If they’re asking questions or looking for advice, engage them with answers. Keep in mind your job here isn’t to sell them, but rather to provide them with useful information, which in turn does the selling for you. Remember to keep it short and sweet. Simply introduce yourself, offer your advice or answers, and then tell them how they can contact you for more info if they need it. It’s that simple.

By committing to just these two strategies, you can begin connecting with people all over the internet who could be the next owner of one of your franchises.
