About us
The American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) is the premiere professional association for geologists and geoscientists. Student members of AAPG are enrolled in an accredited college or university and study one or more branches of the geosciences. Any college student meeting this criteria is eligible for AAPG student membership. AAPG Student Chapters are active at many universities throughout the world. AAPG Student Chapters provide students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, present and/or publish their research, network with other students and industry professionals and hone their technical skills to advance their career paths. The AAPG Foundation supports geoscience education with scholarships and grants, peer reviewed publications, a world-wide geology competition and awards for educational excellence in the field of geoscience.
