About us
AASHTO Product Evaluations & Audit Solutions combines the professional and physical resources of the AASHTO member departments in order to evaluate materials, products, and devices of common interest for use in highway and bridge construction. The primary goal of the program is to provide cost-effective evaluations for the State DOTs by eliminating duplication of testing and auditing by States and duplication of effort by manufacturers that provide products for evaluation.

Last week, the 2025 High Friction and Thin Overlays test deck was installed in Mishawaka, Indiana. A tremendous amount of coordination and teamwork from staff with Indiana Department of Transportation, Illinois Department of Transportation, Tennessee Department of Transportation, Florida Department of Transportation, and AASHTO allowed for the opportunity to have manufacturers install their products on the test deck. AASHTO appreciates The Euclid Chemical Company and Sika USA for choosing to have their products be part of this test deck! Data resulting from the testing done on these products will be accessible to registered state DOT users through DataMine. DataMine: https://bit.ly/4e6ys5L #DataMine #TestDeck #Transportation #Data

It’s been two months, but we’re still reflecting on the success of the Annual Meeting in Kansas City. We had the privilege of hearing Brandi Baldwin, Missouri Department of Transportation State Construction & Materials Engineer, deliver inspiring opening remarks, which set the tone for a week of innovation and collaboration in transportation materials evaluation and auditing. We were equally energized by the active participation of our volunteers during multiple committee working sessions throughout the week. The strong turnout for the IDR Session was particularly encouraging, as the insights shared will significantly drive the evolution of our program. A true highlight of the week was celebrating our members and recognizing the incredible contributions of our volunteers. We also enjoyed connecting with fellow attendees during the 5k run and other informal gatherings outside of the sessions. A special thank you to the Missouri DOT for graciously hosting us in your beautiful state. Your hospitality and flawless organization made this event a remarkable success.
