About us
Alam Al-Iktisaad’s Islamic Banking & Finance Summit 2023 is part of UMS Events’ New Age Banking series organized since 2016 under the patronage of the Executive President, Central Bank of Oman and the support of Oman Banks Association and leading financial institutions and fintech companies. The Islamic banking sector in Oman is likely to sustain its positive trajectory in the short-to-medium term. Growth will be driven by growing awareness, strong retail demand for Islamic products, supportive regulations, and a strong push from the Islamic banks and windows. An improving operating environment, expected positive real GDP growth, higher oil prices and the rise in interest or profit rates will also support growth in both Islamic and conventional banking. Under this positive Islamic banking & finance backdrop, Alam Al-Iktisaad’s Islamic Banking & Finance Summit 2023 will explore and showcase trends, innovations and tech-solutions driving the growth of Islamic banking & finance and related fintechs. Through presentations and discussions, the leading Islamic banking & finance and fintech experts from Oman and regional/ international markets will share insights on new market developments and debate on the focus areas for Omani Islamic financial institutions.
