Your Gateway to Careers and Professional Development in the Nation's Capitol
About us
Launched in 2003, the ANCA Hovig Apo Saghdejian Capital Gateway Program (CGP) helps secure permanent employment and professional internships in Washington, DC for young Armenian American professionals and students. Through the years, the ANCA has developed many relationships in and around Capitol Hill and identified a wide range of opportunities in the Washington, DC area. The CGP utilizes these resources and contacts to help candidates identify and secure jobs that fit their interests and needs. The Program is named after Hovig Apo Saghdejian, a beloved young community leader who lost his life in a tragic car accident and whose eternal memory continues to inspire new generations of Armenian Americans.

“The Hovig Apo Saghdejian Capital Gateway program is one of the best tools for Armenian professional development in the ANCA toolbox", according to Areni Margossian, who participated in the Fall 2017 session of the program and currently serves on the Capital Gateway Program Advisory Committee (CGPAC). She added that the program "attracts the brightest young minds across the US and we have the privilege of seeing just how far our fellows can go in just a few years - all because the ANCA sets each fellow up with crucial skills to succeed. Now we have a vast network of professionals across a myriad of industries who continuously give back. It is a brilliant symbiosis.” Attention recent graduates: Interested in moving to Washington DC to kickstart professional career? Apply to the Capital Gateway Program today.
