I’m always up for a site visit! It was incredible to check out a rail extension project called “The Portal” alongside Autodesk CEO, Andrew Anagnost, Alon Kama, and Theo Agelopoulos. This is an ambitious project (30 years in the making!) in the San Francisco Bay Area that will bring communities together by connecting 11 rail systems while reducing climate change impacts. I enjoyed learning more from the owner, the Transbay Joint Powers Authority (Rebecca Mincio) and the Mott MacDonald (Jay Mezher, AIA and David Hunt) and AECOM team. I can’t wait to see this project completed - it will transform commuting in the Bay Area! Right now, it's a big empty 'box' that looks more like a club or roller rink... but in all seriousness so much planning had to happen far in advance so everything is in the right place for when they bring in the trains. Will be great to follow the transformation. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/e7fpvYJh #AEC #Infrastructure #Sustainability
