Meet John Gunnells, councilmember of the Andrew Young School Alumni Council (AYSAC), in our second AYSAC spotlight!  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gunnells joined the AYS Alumni Council to give back to the institution that shaped him. He serves as a member of the Social and Civic Engagement Committee on the council. “I wanted to make an impact on an institution that gave so much to me,” he said. Last week students from the Georgia State University - Andrew Young School of Policy Studies had the privilege of experiencing special class visits and a Lunch & Learn organized by the AYS Career Services & Alumni Relations Office, featuring GAO staff, most of them who are also proud alumni of the school. These distinguished professionals shared their career journeys and provided a detailed look into the critical work carried out by the US Government Accountability Office. In addition to offering insights into the GAO’s operations, they gave students practical advice on securing internships at the agency and how to leverage their academic skills and experiences into a role in the federal government. A big thank you to Chris Currie, Kristy Williams, Brian James, Jason Jackson, Patrick Netherclift, and Jackson Autry for your time and invaluable guidance to our students!
