About us

The Premier Forum for Battery Technologies for Electric Vehicle Manufacturers The world's fleet of electric vehicles grew to over 6 million units in 2021. Within a decade, there will be enough electric cars on the road for every person in Germany, as global electric vehicle ownership is estimated to reach 200 million units by 2030. Europe and China posted the largest electric vehicle growth rates, with electric vehicle sales more than doubling from the previous year. Spurred by policies that encourage drivers to purchase clean-running cars, the uptake of electric vehicles is still primarily driven by the policy environment. The top 10 leading countries in electric vehicle markets have a range of policies to promote electric cars, with Europe and China being the biggest takers. For China, credits and subsidies will help EVs grow to account for more than a quarter of the car market by 2030. Meanwhile, tightening emissions standards and higher fuel taxes in Europe will boost electric vehicles. The development of battery technologies and battery management systems rely on the latest research and design, manufacturing processes, and technical know-how to develop robust and reliable electric components to support the next-generation of electric vehicles. While recent geopolitical disturbances have created uncertainty regarding the supply chain, government policy remains critical to making EVs attractive to drivers, encouraging investment, and helping carmakers achieve economies of scale. These events will provide a forum for all stakeholders across the electric vehicles battery supply chain, from suppliers and service providers to equipment manufacturers for the automotive industry. Experts will network and build cross-market relationships and discuss the challenges and opportunities in extending drive range and battery life to meet the needs of electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles.
