Preventing Overdose Through Family Recovery August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD). The world’s annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died, and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind. This year's theme is: Together We Can While every individual action matters greatly, coming together as a community creates a powerful collective action. One that moves us toward the goal of preventing, and ultimately, ending all overdoses. This year's theme of Together We Can highlights the strength of coming together and supporting those who have lost someone to overdose as well as those who are striving to be their loved one's best chance at recovery. On August 28th at 8:00 p.m. ET, we will gather together online to commemorate International Overdose Awareness Day 2024 with Beverly Buncher, creator of the BALM Family Recovery Program and BALM coaches Don Lipstein and Kathy Tracy. As we continue to work toward helping families keep their loved ones alive, we also have the annual opportunity to remember those we have lost and support those who love them.
