It is exciting to see our latest research on #hope and #mindfulness attracting attention, especially since one of our doctoral students Emily Ferrise is a leader on this paper! 📣 Psychology today plug (https://lnkd.in/ekQxPv2v) This is a nice little study exploring the roles of hope and mindfulness in sustaining positive mindsets, engagement, resiliency and reduced tension and distress, in a time of acute stress (i.e.., the COVID-19 pandemic). Our study suggests that in times of intense stress or adversity, future-oriented thinking such as hope may be more effective than mindfulness in sustaining positive mindsets and action-oriented outcomes such as engagement. Shout outs to Kristin Scott and Tom Zagenczyk for helping us keep hope and humor alive while navigating the review process 😁 .
