Back to #Ukraine to focus on war-related #humanrights issues. In Lviv today, I was inspired by many city initiatives, and in Novyi Rozdil I listened to IDPs share with me their stories of pain, loss, and resilience.

Today I publish my letter to the Marshal of the Senate of Poland asking the Senate to refrain from adopting the draft law amending the Act on Granting Protection to Foreigners in Poland because it raises concerns as to its compatibility with human rights standards. Proposed amendments to asylum law should be rejected to ensure human rights observance at the border with Belarus. https://lnkd.in/eYd6CqfC

Had a productive meeting with the new OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Director Maria Telalian. We discussed ways to strengthen human rights protection across the region and enhance our cooperation. Looking forward to working together to tackle key challenges.
