  • This year’s #CompTIAPartnerSummit has come to an end. By collaborating, connecting and learning, we're unlocking more paths to innovation in IT education. Here are a few of our takeaways: • In the changing world of tech, educators must evolve in their methods in order to keep pace. Almost 1 in 3 workers in the U.S. have few to no digital skills, but job skills sets have changed by around 25% since 2015. • While AI can assist with tasks like content creation and personalized learning, it can't replicate the human elements that are crucial to effective teaching. Instructors provide mentorship, emotional support, and guide complex problem-solving. • New employer job postings for tech positions totaled nearly 200,000 in June. There were more than 444,600 active tech job postings for the month and 2.5 million for the year. 46% of all active tech job postings in June did not specify a four-year degree requirement. Stay tuned for more highlights and insights.

  • Streaming live from Partner Summit, join CompTIA’s Chief Technology Evangelist, Dr. James Stanger as he engages in an enlightening dialog between the U.S. DoD’s Matt Isnor and Alfredo Rodriguez III, who are central figures in the 8140 directive. Of the many upskilling initiatives we’ve supported in the past year, none has generated more worldwide interest than the U.S. DoDM 8140.03 directive. Learning institutions have questions. In this session, they'll answer your questions and engage in a far-ranging conversation about 8140, and creating practical, transformative upskilling pathways. The panel will discuss the latest 8140 developments, including the greatly-increased number of work roles. Matt and Alfredo will report about the program has made towards its goals, which include improving personnel diversity, tracking student indicators of achievement, and teaching the myriad skills necessary to support missions and protect today’s attack surface. They will also provide practical resources, including mappings and support documents, that delivery partners will find useful.
