In de spotlights... En dan sta je ineens met dagvoorzitter Splinter Chabot op het podium. En dan loopt hij niet veel later ook nog daar vanaf om jou alleen achter te laten... Een dag uit het leven van een Visual Recorder ;-) Afgelopen maandag was ik weer op pad namens de Betekenaar om voor Stichting BOOR een visueel verslag te maken van hun sectordag voor alle medewerkers werkzaam in het (speciaal) basisonderwijs. En daar kwamen 1.200 onderwijsprofessionals op af! Een ontzettend gave dag, goed georganiseerd ook door Ware Communicatie B.V.! Zo'n "momentje" waarop je de tekening mag presenteren aan het aanwezige publiek. Daar gaat heel wat aan vooraf. Wat komt er allemaal bij kijken om 'een tekening te maken'? Het begint ook hier met een goede voorbereiding. Me verdiepen in hoe het programma van de dag eruit ziet, welke sprekers er zijn en wat de opdrachtgever graag terug wil zien in de tekening. Barbara Wiersema & Merel Kester hebben me daar ontzettend fijn in geholpen voorafgaand aan de dag. En natuurlijk zorg ik dat ik op tijd aanwezig ben. Maar dan start de bijeenkomst en dan is het tijd voor het echte werk: kijken, maar vooral luisteren, filteren van gedeelde informatie, het verbeelden van de essentie in mijn hoofd en daarna zorgen voor verbeelding daarvan 'op papier'; deze keer werkte ik digitaal. En dan werk ik heel graag met ConceptsApp. Een tekenapp die mijn creatieve proces optimaal ondersteunt en mij op die manier het beste faciliteert in wat me te doen staat. En het is niet alleen maar achter je tafeltje zitten hoor. Je beweegt wat af. Bijvoorbeeld als er achter het gordijn achter je ineens een workshop start waarbij mensen heel hard "Let's get loud" gaan zingen. Dan moet je wel even verplaatsen naar de eerste rij van de spreker die je probeert te volgen, dichtbij de speaker. Maar ook een programma met meerdere workshoprondes, waarbij je gevraagd wordt om van meerdere workshops een 'impressie' op te tekenen, zorgt ervoor dat je lekker aan je stappen komt. En af en toe plof je dan ook gewoon even in kleermakerszit neer op de grond, heerlijk! Omdat 'beelden' het veel lekkerder doen dan alleen maar tekst heb ik ook nog wat beeldmateriaal bijgevoegd. Met dank aan Betekenaar-collega Christine van Uffelen die maandag gezellig een dag met me meeliep! De enige wazige foto in dit rijtje is de selfie die ik nam aan het eind van de dag.
