Despite the health and potential regulatory concerns, arsenic is still used by many pharmaceutical glass tubing manufacturers, with some recently announcing new arsenic free options that will be phased into their product offerings. While this is a new approach for some manufacturers, Corning has exclusively offered arsenic-free glass for many decades, including borosilicate and aluminosilicate tubing for pharmaceutical packaging.
