The Deputy Director in alignment with the portfolio Director will be responsible, for the development, coordination, and integration of DHS strategies, programs, and policies in all CTOC mission areas assigned to DHS by law or executive order. This may include efforts to combat the illegal movement of weapons, drugs, and contraband, and human smuggling and trafficking and supporting efforts to align these activities within DHS and broader whole of government strategies. The Deputy Director will primarily be responsible for strategies, programs, and policies related to combatting weapons trafficking, contraband, and illicit finance, but may support or assist other lines of effort within the CTOC mission areas.
