    Project Civil Engineer - Pennoni Job Description Pennoni is a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm that was founded over five decades ago! Our goal is to help communities and private sector clients alike navigate the ever-changing technological advancements available while learning how best to integrate “smart” solutions into the current landscape; this ultimately contributes to resilient and sustainable planning.    We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to multi-discipline design projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Newark, NJ. This person will have the opportunity to lead a variety of public and private site development projects as well as working with various municipal clients across various markets!   Primary Responsibilities: Manage multiple projects and tasks; this includes monitoring schedules & budgets to ensure effective completion of projects accordingly. Meet regularly with clients. Prepare proposals for new & existing clients Oversee the development of Land Development Plans; this includes the preparation of engineering design drawings, technical specification, and engineering reports (from schematic design through construction). Coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large scale, complex projects. Delegate workload to Junior Engineers & Drafters; this includes mentoring / guiding Junior Engineers to develop Stormwater Management [SWM] strategies, Utility Coordination, and Erosion & Sediment Control [E&SC] Design.   Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline). 8+ years of professional experience working in Engineering (preferably with Land Development design projects). PE license in NJ (we will consider candidates who are able to successfully obtain their PE within 6 months of their start date).   Preferred Qualifications: Additional relevant certification (e.g.: Certified Municipal Engineer / CME, Certified Floodplain Manager / CFM, Professional Planner / PP, etc.) Project Management experience. Advanced proficiency with site design functions: site layout, grading, utility design, stormwater management, erosion control, municipal & land-use regulatory approvals, etc. Experience working with stormwater management. Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, project management software, etc.); experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Proficient in office software applications: Microsoft Office 365 Adobe Acrobat, etc.; experience working with Bluebeam Revu is a plus! Proven ability to work in an energetic & challenging team environment as a collaborative Team Player, especially while maintaining the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Proven ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills, especially when working on a variety of projects while providing solutions to difficult issues.   • CHIEF ENGINEER - Regional Sewerage Authority seeks a full-time Chief Engineer to provide technical assistance on all engineering matters in the wastewater treatment plant and collection system, and function as the Authority’s representative in contracting and construction matters. Key responsibilities involve overseeing construction projects, managing design and procurement processes, maintaining plant operations data, conducting inspections, and updating plant record drawings. Applicants must hold at least a B.S. degree in Sanitary, Civil, Environmental, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in wastewater treatment systems, including Construction Management. A New Jersey Professional Engineering License is preferred but not required. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
