📣📣📣 The new Digital Government Hub is live!!! Very grateful to the Digital Benefits Network & full Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation team for the tremendous partnership and leadership in developing and refining the #DigitalGovernmentHub, with the public human services ecosystem at the center. 🙌🏼 💕Thank you to everyone who shaped the hub’s development. So many of you did user interviews / testing, took surveys, watched live demos, and shared questions and ideas with our team to further sharpen this tool. That feedback resulted in lots and lots of updates and upgrades — hope you like it! I think it is pretty powerful (and pretty). And extra powerful special shout out to APEX Advisors! 💕🙌🏼

BenCon 2024 may be behind us, but we’re still celebrating our Civillians - Rachael Carson, Eesha Patne, and Lena Selzer - who led two impactful sessions at this year's Digital Benefits Conference in Washington, D.C. Here's a quick look at the sessions we contributed to: 1️⃣ Improving Digital Service Delivery: A deep dive into how customer experience principles can transform public benefit programs and improve digital access for all. 2️⃣ Strategies for Engaging Lived Expertise: Centering the voices of beneficiaries to ensure public services are accessible and equitable for all. It was an incredible event full of inspiring speakers and rich conversations. A big thank you to Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation and everyone who made it happen! Were you at BenCon 2024? We'd love to hear your biggest takeaway! Drop it in the comments. 👇

So proud of Code the Dream's work to make sure that all families can access the help they need. As AI advances, we need more innovations like this -- tools built by all of us to benefit all of us.
The Digital Benefits Network and the Massive Data Institute will be presenting at APHSA -- American Public Human Services Association's #ISMConference in Denver on October 8. Join us to hear insights from our recently concluded #Policy2Code Prototyping Challenge. We will feature award-winning demos from Code the Dream, Nava, MITRE, and Georgetown University. These teams had been testing how generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology could be used to translate government policies for U.S. public benefits programs into plain language and software code, including for specific use cases like supporting benefits navigators. If you’re attending the ISM Conference, come join our presentation on Tuesday, October 8 from 10-11 a.m. in room Summit 6. See you there! Presenting will be the DBN’s Ariel Kennan, Tina Amper, and the Massive Data Institute’s Lisa Singh. Let us know if you've worked on something similar in your work. #ISMConference #GovTech #CivicTech #RulesAsCode #ISMPHSA24 #GenAI

Did you know that the DBN recently announced a new Community of Practice (CoP) on digital identity in public benefits? Earlier this summer, we announced a new project with NIST and CDT to adapt NIST’s digital identity guidelines to public benefits contexts. (Read more: https://lnkd.in/g3x7Vxf5). This new community will provide opportunities for more open-ended engagement on digital identity in public benefits. The community will bring together stakeholders working across sectors and benefits programs to address key concerns and challenges related to digital identity and promote the delivery of public benefits to all eligible individuals, including vulnerable populations. Please fill out our community survey if you’re interested in joining and/or want to inform the direction of this community. Responses will be collected through October 16 and the survey should take 5-7 minutes to complete. https://lnkd.in/gj7zpVkW Visit our landing page to learn more. https://lnkd.in/gnejFPCV
