Here’s to another step in Dow’s path to zero! We are proud to launch a new addition to Dow’s growing portfolio of sustainable materials to help the #automotive industry #decarbonize – bio-based NORDEL™ REN Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer (EPDM) for weatherseals, hoses, belts and other molded rubber goods for automotive. The plant-based material will be made through an ISCC+ certified mass balance system, so the resulting product can help offer identical performance to virgin material with no requalification required, helping customers accelerate their sustainability transition. By using bio-based residues from other industries as raw material, NORDEL™ REN EPDM offers a lower-carbon emissions option without consuming extra land resources nor competing with the food chain. At #DKT2024 this week, our Dow team is showcasing how our own path to carbon emissions neutrality also aims to help our customers achieve their own decarbonization goals.
