So many great meetings and memories from our time at the 2024 Aviation Lubricants Distributor Conference in Washington, DC. The event started with a terrific group tour of DC’s many historic sites, followed by two days of productive meetings where we discussed key touchstones of the aviation industry, including the global forces shaping air travel, #sustainability, marketing trends and techniques, and #OEM impact and engagement. One of the conference’s highlights for us was Dr. Peter R. Lavoy’s ExxonMobil Global Energy Outlook presentation. Dr. Lavoy is our Senior Director, International Government Relations, Asia Pacific. We also heard from key ExxonMobil Aviation Distributors, including Aeroservices and Victor Enterprises Pte Ltd. We recently attended Commercial Aviation Alternative Fuels Initiative (CAAFI) North American Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) Conference and Expo in St Paul, Minnesota, joining various industry stakeholders to discuss the SAF market in North America. Carolyn Ryeczek, Americas LEF and Business Development Manager, spoke on a panel providing an overview of our efforts to supply Lower Emission Fuels (LEFs), how co-processing can help increase production of biofuels, and needed policy measures to help incentivize SAF production.
