  • Integrating across the entire value chain is in our DNA. And our mission is to deliver the most reliable low-carbon intensity hydrogen and ammonia solutions for customers in heavy industry. From the Permian to Baytown, see how we’re working to transform our differentiated natural gas into low-carbon hydrogen, by capturing 98% of CO2 emissions, and safely storing it using advanced technology. We’re expanding our infrastructure to accelerate the growth of the low-carbon hydrogen market along the Gulf Coast. Discover how our laser focus on integration is crucial to scaling low-carbon intensity hydrogen and ammonia for a new market, making real-world progress for customers who are seeking to cut their emissions. https://lnkd.in/g5tRnH6j #ExxonMobil #LowCarbonSolutions #EnergyTransition #Hydrogen #realworldprogress

  • Hydrogen is the first element in the periodic table because it’s the lightest – but  it's no lightweight. And at our planned Baytown facility, we’re working to harness the power of this mighty molecule to make a huge impact on your emissions targets. We’re planning to develop the world’s largest low-carbon-hydrogen facility, deploying the latest technology to help your energy transition. Technology like our ultra-low NOx, 100% hydrogen-ready industrial burners, which we developed with Zeeco, Inc., that can make your operational transition more seamless. Or carbon capture technology from Honeywell UOP, which is helping us capture more than 98% of emissions associated with our low-carbon-hydrogen production process. Discover more about how we’re building real-world progress and the low-carbon hydrogen economy, starting with our planned facility in Baytown. https://lnkd.in/g5tRnH6j #Deliveringrealworldprogress #realworldprogress #hydrogen

  • Imagine a future where your operations are powered by low-carbon hydrogen, with minimal emissions. We’re working to make that a reality for our customers. Welcome to Baytown, where we are planning to build the world’s largest low-carbon hydrogen production facility where CO2 associated with the hydrogen production is captured and sequestered. Our work at Baytown will not only unlock a new market for low-carbon hydrogen and low-carbon ammonia, enabling sectors from power to chemicals to steel and iron to slash their emissions, but it will also cut our own emissions. Building an entirely new market isn’t easy. But at ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions, we have a unique combination of technological solutions, scale, experience, end-to-end integration, and world-class talent to help heavy industry reach its carbon emissions targets. Our experts were in Singapore this week to join the conversation on Asia Pacific’s lower-carbon future. Egon van der Hoeven, ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions vice-president for Asia Pacific Business Development, participated in a panel discussion at Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW). He discussed Carbon capture and storage and low-carbon intensity hydrogen as enablers of the region’s transition towards a lower-carbon future. The panel also acknowledged that cross-border solutions will require collaboration between industry, academia and governments to meet the varying energy needs of Asia Pacific countries. Hayley Pham, ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions vice-president for Asia Pacific Business Development, spoke about hydrogen’s role in the energy transition in an engaging panel session. She talked about the need for sound government policies to accelerate the deployment of key technologies like hydrogen. • For customers in manufacturing and power, we’re leading the way for developing low-carbon hydrogen where CO2 associated with production is captured and sequestered so you can meet your energy needs while lowering your emissions. Luca Volta, hydrogen venture executive for ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions, talked about our progress as a featured speaker at the recent Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe. Luca discussed: - Our plans to build the world’s largest low-carbon hydrogen facility at Baytown, Texas, where ~98% of CO2 associated with production is captured and sequestered to provide reliable supply at scale for customers. - Our advances in providing fuel-switching technology to minimize disruption to your operations, offering Zeeco’s 100% hydrogen-ready burners, which can significantly lower your emissions with minimal equipment upgrades. - Updates on our signed agreements with dozens of organizations across the globe (JERA, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Honeywell/UOP) to expand our offerings, reach, and capabilities. #hydrogen #hydrogeneconomy #hydrogentechnologyexpo

When you invest in a carbon, capture and storage (CCS) solution, you want the confidence that you’re getting next-generation technology and a partner with decades of expertise executing industrial projects at scale. Our alliance with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) ensures that you’re getting just that – a one-stop CCS solution for your emission-reduction needs. Our fully integrated offering includes leading liquid amine capture technology, transportation and storage. As an industrial customer, you need large-scale solutions. And MHI’s KM-CDR Process™ is one of the only CO2 capture technologies commercially demonstrated at greater than 1 million metric tons per year. Hear from Takajiro Ishikawa, President & CEO of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, about how we’re combining our expertise to help you reach your emission-reduction goals. https://lnkd.in/g5tRnH6j #Deliveringrealworldprogress #realworldprogress #CCS

  • The scale of the challenge to reduce carbon emissions around the globe is sizeable, but so too is our toolbox of solutions. Infrastructure is a key part of these solutions – we own and operate the largest network of CO₂ pipelines in the U.S., along with several onshore storage sites.       These carbon capture and storage capabilities are available to you – and other manufacturers seeking to find commercially viable, emission-reduction solutions. The scaled emissions impact you need, with minimal operational disruptions. That’s what we’re delivering. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/givyrNqF #CCS #emissions #ExxonMobil

  • A Texas-sized addition to our CCS portfolio. We are pleased to announce ExxonMobil has executed a lease with the Texas General Land Office (GLO) securing access to over 271,000-acres of offshore CO2 storage in Texas state waters. The lease is the largest of its kind in the U.S. This agreement adds significant storage potential to our carbon capture and storage portfolio, which includes a robust network of pipeline and storage capabilities throughout the Gulf Coast region. These capabilities, along with our expertise in subsurface, allow us to provide customers in hard-to-abate sectors with an end-to-end solution, including capture, transportation and storage. This #realworldprogress agreement will benefit the Texas Permanent School Fund, enhancing children’s education throughout Texas. Together with our customers, we are fueling real-world progress. We are excited to share we’ve entered into a definitive agreement with the New Generation Gas Gathering (NG3) project to transport and store up to 1.2 million metric tons a year (MTA) of CO2 from their facility in Louisiana. NG3 will gather and treat natural gas produced in east Texas and Louisiana for delivery to U.S. Gulf Coast markets, including for LNG export. This agreement represents a growing number of heavy industries advancing their lower emissions goals through our #carboncapture and storage technology. NG3 is our first natural gas customer. The NG3 project can rely on our existing robust CCS infrastructure including more than 1300 miles of CO2 pipelines across the US Gulf Coast, high-quality permanent storage space locations throughout the region and decades of experience executing subsurface projects safely and efficiently. We are on a mission to help the world’s largest emitters in hard-to-abate sectors advance the energy transition through #realwordprogress agreements.
