In a first for NYU Langone Health, three of our leaders were selected to present at Fast Company’s Innovation Festival last month, sharing how our work is shaking up the healthcare industry.   The Innovation Festival is all about bringing together innovative minds for inspiring chats, meaningful networking, and hands-on workshops. Our presenters included:   • Dr. Paul Glimcher, chair of the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, talked about how our brains work and how understanding this can help us make better decisions. He reminded everyone, “Be aware that your decision-making processes change across your lifespan. This means fine-tuning it at every point in your life to your greatest strengths.” • Dr. JR Rizzo, our system director of Disability Inclusion, joined a panel focused on healthcare innovation and the importance of a more inclusive world. He highlighted a pressing issue, saying, “We’re riddled with access barriers at this point. The future of healthcare must be accessible and universally designed.” • Elizabeth Golden, our executive vice president for Communications, Marketing, and Government and Community Affairs, participated in a lively discussion about how new technologies and multichannel strategies can help us stand out in a crowded market. She shared her insights, stating, “When we think about breaking through and communicating in the best way, it’s about making healthcare more approachable and meeting people where they are on their journey.”   It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our commitment to innovation and inclusion in healthcare!

Senior Media Planner at Noble People

Proud to have contributed to planning the thought-leadership panel, “How to Balance Growth with Innovation,” at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in NYC last week, alongside my trusted colleague, Ryan Ramirez. This panel brought together top minds in the industry, including Lisa Bodell, Gaurav Gupta and Sterling Shury, PMP® from Smartsheet. The discussion centered on how businesses can grow while embracing change and innovation, with a key focus on the human factor—emphasizing that people are the greatest variable in driving successful change. Sterling Shury, PMP® provided valuable insights, sharing that complex processes are only as effective as they are easy to understand—even the best strategies should be clear enough for anyone to grasp. His experiences illustrated how success depends not just on centralizing resources but on how teams adopt and implement them. The main takeaway? Clarity of roles—understanding who makes decisions and who executes them—is critical to achieving innovation and growth. A special thanks to our client, Smartsheet for their partnership, and to Dan Maxwell and the Fast Company team for their support in making this event a success! How does your organization prioritize innovation in its growth strategy? What’s the most important factor in getting teams to buy into strategic changes? #FastCoInnovationFestival #StrategicGrowth #Leadership #Innovation #Smartsheet

This month, our Global Head of Design at TBWA\Media Arts Lab, James Taylor, joined an insightful panel titled "Making the Case for Beauty in Innovation" at Fast Company's Innovation Festival.   The conversation, which included TBWA\Worldwide’s Chief Design Officer Bruno Regalo, acclaimed designer Stefan Sagmeister, and Gabby Lord, Cofounder and Creative Director of Super Keen Studio, explored the profound role of design in branding. The panel delved into how design can elevate products and transform consumer experiences.   James highlighted the critical balance between aesthetics and functionality, noting: "A lot of our advertising is centered around both form and function. It is in the harmony between these two elements that beauty is found." More on this year's festival: https://lnkd.in/dqyP_Fny

PR strategist helping leaders and brands tell their stories. #mediarelations #thoughtleadership

Insights from "The Art--and Science--of Truly Disruptive Communications" at Fast Company's Innovation Festival, moderated by the well-spoken and impeccably dressed Julianne Pepitone. In an era of digital information overload, how can your brand stand out? 💡 Facts + 📖 storytelling = 👀 attention.   🎤 Use influencers. They help translate experiences, educate your buyers, amplify your voice and connect to people in a natural, genuine way. 🔍 Your content doesn't have to be flashy, but it does have to be easy to find. 🎧 Make it as frictionless as possible to consume your content. Think audio vs written ; podcasts vs social media. 🌱 Go for what is sustainable, not for what's viral. ✅ TEST but also STOP when it's not working. 🛑 Seek out the naysayers -- instead of pushing for a yes, ask people to poke holes in your idea. Ask them to rip it apart. 🌍 Go omnichannel - explore all the avenues to reach your audiences, wherever they are. Different generations are in different places. 📈 Use data - measuring comms impact is hard but data can still useful on the backend to inform your strategies on the front end. 🧏♂️ Stay close to your customer. Practice active listening across multiple channels. 🌟 Authenticity is the key to brand success. #FastCompanyInnovationFestival #FCFestival

One week ago today....we're still reveling from celebrating 10 years of Fast Company's Innovation Festival. This year’s event served as a celebration of sustained innovation and featured the magazine’s selection of the 10 most innovative people of the last decade – Issa Rae, Ryan Reynolds, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sara Nelson, Pat McGrath, José Andrés, Satya Nadella, Jennifer Doudna, Lina Khan, and Ted Sarandos. These leaders and doers left festivalgoers with many provocative ideas to ponder regarding pressing issues that range from sustainability to AI to the upcoming U.S. presidential election. "Data is everything in creating these experiences. You have to have a good core otherwise you’re producing a garbage experience.” Huge's Emily Wengert took to the stage at Fast Company's Innovation Festival last week to discuss the building of conversational agent OLI with NBCUniversal's Jennifer Storms. They also discussed how brands can use data and AI more intelligently to create a better experience for the customer. Take a closer look at the work here: https://ow.ly/fYN950TtwGb

    Chief Experience Officer at Disguise

Really positive week in New York taking part in the Fast Company Innovation Summit where Disguise hosted a Fast Track session at our NY Studio and shared our Innovation story with a great audience. And spent valuable time with our ever expanding US team who came together to help deliver the event and a range of other amazing sessions with future partners and educators. Welcome fully on board Lauren Jensen, Matthew Michaud, Christopher Fox and Joanna Syiek!

Also managed to get to see a stunning Twenty One Pilots show running on Disguise. And finally made it to our great partners ZeroSpace for an in person visit after so much virtual collaboration. #FCFestival #FC10 #Innovation #Disguise
