Prior to joining Pearson, I assumed that the GED® was a US government program. I was wrong. It is a powerful online resource to prepare for and earn your high school equivalency diploma. It is one of the many incredible learning solutions under the Pearson suite of solutions. I spent the first half of my life in and around Northeast Minneapolis. Several of my classmates struggled to complete a traditional education pathway because they simply did not have the right community around them for support. They had the attitude and aptitude, but they were missing the physiological, safety, belongingness & love, and esteem needs described in Maslow's hierarchy. As a People leader, I feel a deep sense of responsibility to encourage fellow leaders to develop talent strategies that are A) inclusive, B) timely, and C) relevant in addressing barriers to entry in learning.
