Are you aware of the status of grid modernization in your state? Do you want to know how your state compares to others? The GridWise Alliance's Grid Modernization Index Readiness Survey (GMIR) is the industry standard for collecting and reporting this information. The GMI Readiness Survey seeks input from key stakeholders in the United States, including state utility regulators and staff, state energy policy makers, all electric utilities, and transmission-only entities such as ISO, RTO, TransCo, etc. We are pleased to announce that the 2024 GMI Readiness Survey will be launched in the coming weeks, and we invite you to be a part of this crucial effort. To receive the survey, please take a moment to complete the registration form on the GridWise Alliance website today ➡ https://lnkd.in/erjDFS9x Once your eligibility is confirmed, you will receive an email with the survey link from Black & Veatch, GridWise Alliance's partner in managing the 2024 GMI Readiness Survey. The route to cyber resilience is fraught with legacy systems, proprietary protocols, pervasive remote access, emerging technologies, #Ransomware threats, cyber sabotage and brittle supply chains. By focusing on human elements and #CyberRisk reduction, #Manufacturers can efficiently allocate resources and capital to what matters most – safety and operational resilience. During his talk at #ManuSec, our principal consultant Shane Williams will share some practical advice on: ◾ Employee training and awareness ◾ Access control and privilege management ◾ Resilience through redundancy ◾ Investment in emerging technologies ◾ And more! We are honored to have played an integral part in helping a key client in Texas secure the first GRIP award to advance grid of the future use cases for distribution resiliency in disadvantaged communities. 🌵 Our experience and solutions in federal awards strategy and management, #GridModernization and #EnergyTransition technologies are helping our clients get to the award finish line faster. 🏁 Combining that expertise with the completeness of the grant application, limited changes during the pre-award stage and active week-to-week engagement with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has proven to be a winning formula. 🥇➕ Reach out to our expert Mike Bianco to learn more!

Congratulations to Clifford Capital, Pentagreen Capital and BECIS - Commercial Industrial Solutions! After months of behind-the-scenes consultancy which included feedstock market assessment, and technical and environment & social advisory services from Kar Kit Lee and our team in #Asia, this US$30 million green loan collaboration has finally been made public. It will finance 14 #Bioenergy projects converting agricultural waste and other sustainably sourced feedstock into renewable steam.
We are delighted to announce our second transaction, which supports BECIS - Commercial Industrial Solutions’ bioenergy projects across Southeast Asia and India, in collaboration with Clifford Capital. We continue to see significant demand for financing among sustainable infrastructure projects in Southeast Asia, and this deal demonstrates how Pentagreen’s differentiated tranche is able to unlock financing flows to projects with impact. The 14 individual projects are expected to result in 114,404 tons of CO2 emissions avoided annually, and help industries decarbonise their manufacturing and production operations. We welcome BECIS Bioenergy to our portfolio and look forward to partnering closely with Clifford Capital. Global Advisory - Black & Veatch reposted this
Last week, the Black & Veatch team had an enriching opportunity to host a gathering of utility leaders to delve into Total Grid Orchestration (#TGO). This inaugural event shed light on critical industry gaps and underscored the pressing need to push the sector forward amidst the accelerating convergence of #Energy and #Digital realms. The current landscape presents a dual challenge - the rapid advancement of #renewable energy resources, #electrification, increasing extreme events, and soaring power demand from #AI #datacenters, against ongoing grid investments that are merely foundational. To navigate this, a paradigm shift towards viewing the "Grid as One" is imperative, emphasizing collaboration and understanding the interdependencies among various industry stakeholders across markets, generators, T&D entities, aggregators and prosumers. #TGO aims to bring visibility and risk harmonization across the grid hierarchy, enabling orchestrated, optimized, and automated energy transitions while upholding reliability and affordability. In the near future, the TGO Alliance will be launched to address critical industry gaps, inviting all players to join this transformative journey. Acknowledgments to the dedicated Black & Veatch team members, Kayleigh (Moss) HasBrouck, Eric Gupta, Paul Moran, Payam Yeganeh, Matt Futch, Jaimin Jani, Allie Broussard, Lindsey Spencer for their outstanding organization of the event, and heartfelt gratitude to the utility leaders whose contribution will be pivotal to the success of this initiative, set to be officially launched soon. A special thanks to Black & Veatch for their unwavering commitment to lead in #Sustainability. Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this collaborative journey towards a resilient and efficient energy future.
