About us

Not only does it feel good to do good things in our world, but our greatest wisdom traditions, faiths, creators and scientists suggest it feels so good because it is how we are wired. Goodness is connected to our most sacred teachings - both the call to be good in the world and that goodness comes back to those who do good things. We celebrate the people, organizations, movements, creations and aspirations of Good Things. We celebrate our connectedness through the good we all love doing - in its many forms and through the many transformations that good things make in our world. We are fortunate that despite seemingly insurmountable odds, good things happen even in parts of our world where suffering and loss are the deepest. Somehow, we reach to the light, sometimes on our own, sometimes with the helping hands of others. Sometimes a stranger even comes along and saves a life, protects or serves us, helps us heal. Our colors and words are inspired by so many of you, and we love to share that inspiration. Some have suggested that doing good on behalf of others, even others we do not know, has been a growing force since the fight to end slavery began, and has become the largest movement in human history. It has spread out to include civil rights, economic rights and environmental rights based movements, all connected in a fundamental belief that each and every living part of our living world is by nature a unique and precious good thing. Each person, each tree, each living creature and the entire living system we make up reaches toward the light of good things. Longs to thrive and persist. Each one lost, is a loss for us all. Each one saved is rescue to the whole.
