A game-changer for the engineering world 🏗 This week, the UK’s Engineering Council and the US’s NCEES signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) on professional qualifications. A historic agreement has been signed between the UK’s Engineering Council and the US’s National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). The Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) will streamline the process for UK engineers to work in participating US states and vice versa while maintaining high standards for engineers in the US and the UK. As Department for Business and Trade's Director of Trade - New England, US, Tripp will lead the UK Government’s trade and investment relationship between the UK and the New England region of the US; this region includes the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island and Connecticut (with the exception of Fairfield County, which is covered by the British Consulate in New York). Based at the British Consulate-General Boston, Tripp W. will work closely with senior decision-makers across the British Government’s US network, offering advice to the Consul General on regional trade policy and investment opportunities.
