I’m glad to share the publication of our latest research, titled "𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗛𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲", published in the Open Access journal IEEE Access. This research is a continuation of my PhD work, conducted under the supervision of Patrick Bartholomeus, Xavier Margueron, and Philippe Le Moigne. It explores a new approach to improve the performance of Hybrid Energy Storage Systems by minimizing the power processed by the DC-DC converter. The key innovation is a coupling architecture that also reduces the converter’s mass and volume, increasing overall system efficiency. Our results show that this architecture can reduce the converter's sizing power by up to 14 times compared to conventional designs.
