Congratulations to University of Toronto's Geoffrey E. Hinton and Princeton University's John Hopfield on receiving The Nobel Prize in #physics for 2024. Hinton, recipient of the 2016 IEEE / Royal Society of Edinburgh James Clerk Maxwell Medal and 2014 Frank Rosenblatt Award is often called the "Godfather of #AI". Hopfield, creator of the Hopfield #NeuralNetwork, was recognized previously with the 2009 #IEEE Frank Rosenblatt Award. Both were honored with the 2024 #NobelPrize for their fundamental work in #ArtificialIntelligence and #MachineLearning, which laid the foundation for today's advanced AI technologies.
