The SIH, organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in partnership with AICTE, is the world’s largest open innovation platform. India scraps ‘angel tax’ in boost for startups Indian Government has removed the ‘angel tax’ for all classes of investors. This move aims to bolster the Indian start-up eco-system, boost the entrepreneurial spirit and support innovation. The tax, introduced in 2012, has long been a pain point for early-stage companies. The announcement was made during the presentation of Budget 2024-25 in Lok Sabha.
