We're proud to award US$80,000 in grant funding to Airlink, Inc. as part of the ISTAT Foundation's Grant Program, which is designed to provide financial support to organizations around the world that either advance commercial aviation or engage in aviation-related efforts. The ISTAT Foundation founded Airlink in the aftermath of the devastating 2010 Haiti earthquake and has contributed more than US$2 million in support of its initiatives to date. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nick Fadugba, a true luminary in the aviation industry and a valued friend and member of the Board of Trustees of the ISTAT Foundation. Nick played a pivotal role in the Foundation's outreach efforts in Africa, making a significant impact by serving on the grants committee and helping the Foundation grow its presence across the continent. Nick's contributions to the world of aviation were unparalleled, and his legacy will be felt for generations to come. As the founder of AFRICAN AVIATION Services, Nick was a tireless advocate for the growth and development of Africa’s aviation sector. His vision, leadership and deep understanding of the industry helped shape the future of aviation in the region and beyond. Nick's dedication to fostering talent and his unwavering commitment to excellence made him a respected figure globally, and his loss is deeply felt by all who knew him. On behalf of the ISTAT Foundation, I extend our deepest condolences to Nick's family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.
