We are proudly one of only two funeral homes in all of Minnesota certified by the national Green Burial Council. You’ll find our locations in White Bear Lake and St Paul on their interactive map.
All of our providers are featured on our interactive map! It is really helpful for consumers that are looking for green burial products, funeral homes and cemeteries near them. A lot of people learning about green burial start their learning journey with the Green Burial Council. If you are a provider of green burial services and aren't certified yet, learn how to become a part of our community of certified providers so that consumers can find you more easily: https://lnkd.in/e_q4p_z

On Friday May 24th Gov. Walz signed a bill legalizing natural organic reduction in Minnesota! On July 1, 2025 licensed providers will be able to offer this service right here. (What is NOR? https://lnkd.in/g6yViXE8 ) Thank you to all the people who came together to make this an option for Minnesotans, especially the collaboration between the NORMinnesota Action Group and the Minnesota Funeral Directors Association. Together we ensured the law was ecological, consumer oriented, professionally informed, and safe. A lot of work went into making Minnesota the 11th state to legalize NOR and former MN Senator Carolyn Laine was nothing short of a champion in seeing it through. For now, Interra will continue to offer out-of-state NOR with our partners in Washington until a trusted local option becomes available here at home.

We are working with NORMinnesota to get natural organic reduction, or human composting, to be a permitted disposition method in Minnesota. The Star Tribune interviewed our Communications Director, Taelor Johnson for their Editorial Board endorsement of the bills currently being heard in the MN legislature. https://lnkd.in/gfvVm6Fc
