This week, some of our team dropped into the #WomenInOpenBanking breakfast event in London for a panel talk packed with powerful insights and thought-provoking conversations and a chance to connect with some like-minded women in the #OpenFinance world. Katie Hayes, Head of Marketing at Ozone API, shared her top three takeaways from the event: 1️⃣ Empowerment Through Leadership True leadership is about being an enabler and an amplifier. It's our responsibility to empower and motivate our teams by aligning with a clear vision and strategy. Listening to other voices and gaining leadership buy-in are essential for driving impact. 2️⃣ Balancing Work & Parental Responsibilities Every day is a conscious choice between professional commitments and family. It’s important to acknowledge this balance and advocate for greater flexibility in the workplace. Flexibility isn’t just a perk - it’s vital. We need to shift the conversation and make empathy the norm, not the exception. This really resonated with me as my maternity leave comes to an end. 3️⃣ Authentic Leadership & Collaboration Success is defined differently for everyone, and not everyone needs to aspire to leadership. What matters most is understanding your purpose, leading with kindness, and helping others. As women, we excel at collaboration - let's continue to build each other up rather than compete.
