Our recent continuing education event covering the latest in liver transplantation and hepatology was a success! Here's what some of our attendees had to say: “The information I learned was extremely valuable and will definitely help when taking care of my patients.” “This thorough review focused on the most up-and-coming developments, which is highly relevant to my practice.” “It will help us expand services and review our protocols to better serve our liver patients.” “Please make this an annual event! It will be helpful to have more people sharing similar evidence-based care.” We're thrilled to see the positive impact on patient care and professional development. Thank you to all who attended and contributed to this enriching experience, including Harvard Medical School Postgraduate Medical Education!

🌟 Exciting Advancement in Genetic Screening in Kidney Disease! 🌟 Our team has developed a multiplexed CRISPR-based genotyping assay that can simultaneously detect the high-risk APOL1 variants associated with a significantly increased risk of kidney disease in African Americans. This breakthrough offers a cost-effective, point-of-care solution, delivering fast and accurate results using minimal equipment. 💡 Key features: - Detects 6 APOL1 genotypes in a single reaction - Machine learning for robust analysis of 100+ clinical samples - Point-of-care compatibility with a simple lateral-flow readout - Potential to enhance kidney disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment decisions, including kidney transplant risk stratification This technology could revolutionize how we approach precision medicine in nephrology by making genetic risk screening more accessible in clinical and resource-limited settings. Great collaboration with @KaminskiLab and strong work from Robert Greensmith, Isa Lape, Cris Riella, and others. https://lnkd.in/gXSh9Upf
