MINI inspires people since 1959. When engineer Alec Issigonis designed the first ever Classic Mini, nobody knew what a legend it would become. The smart, revolutionary design developed in a time of limitations broke conventions from the very start. Its unique approach, the creative use of space, has remained at the core of the brand until today. With auto racer and car maker John Cooper joining the team in the 1960s, the Classic Mini received its famous Rallye personality.
