GIVE MONTGOMERY A CHANCE! A couple of weeks ago, I had the privilege of being invited to join a panel discussion hosted by the Montgomery Chamber’s Talent & Experience Montgomery teams. The event focused on why Montgomery is a great place to stay and start your career. What many of the students from Huntingdon College were surprised to learn is that I, too, am a fellow student with an expected graduation date of May 2025. I feel beyond blessed to have shared the stage with such brilliant minds, discussing how we can continue to help this incredible community grow. A huge thanks goes out to Kenny Ward Jr. for being an amazing point of contact, as well as the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce for allowing me to be part of something so meaningful at such a young age. One of the students asked me for a key takeaway from the discussion, and my answer was simple: GIVE MONTGOMERY A CHANCE! This city has so much to offer—both now and after graduation.

  • Friday was a fantastic day at Huntingdon College! Students, employers, and participants kicked off the morning with coffee, scones, and engaging conversations during the networking event. Afterward, the Fall 2024 Business Career Fair took place in the Huntingdon gymnasium, where Director of Talent, Kenny Ward, connected with students and employers eager to make career moves. We were also excited to see Dr. Anthony Leigh, Huntingdon’s newly appointed President, in attendance. With his history of leadership at the college, we’re looking forward to the future under his guidance. The Montgomery Chamber is proud of our strong partnership with Huntingdon and is excited for continued collaboration and academic success! . . #CareerFair #MontgomeryChamber #HuntingdonCollege #Talent #WorkforceTalent #MontgomeryAndYou

  • Driving Montgomery Forward! "The most recent development came Wednesday when MOBIS broke ground on a $52 million, 460,000-square-foot expansion in Montgomery, aimed at enhancing its aftermarket parts operations for Hyundai and Kia’s dealer networks across the nation."

  • Driving Montgomery Forward! Today, MOBIS broke ground on its latest expansion project in Montgomery, Alabama, marking a significant milestone for the region’s automotive industry. The new $52 million, 460,000-square-foot facility will serve the aftermarket parts needs for both Hyundai and Kia’s national dealer networks. Since 2002, MOBIS has invested $475 million in our community, employing over 1,500 people. The latest expansion will create 27 new jobs. "Investment by existing industries is the highest compliment we can receive, and MOBIS has demonstrated its commitment by reinvesting in this facility. Over the past 20 years, partnerships and relationships have been the foundation of our success. Connecting and supporting our existing industries ensures they continue to grow and thrive. To the City of Montgomery, Montgomery County Commission, and the State of Alabama—we extend our heartfelt thanks. It takes strong partnerships to create opportunities, and together, we are making that possible." — Anna Buckalew, President & CEO of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce Read more about the expansion here: https://lnkd.in/dTPkg4DS . . #EconomicDevelopment #MOBIS #MOBISExpands #MontgomeryAL #DrivingMontgomeryForward

  • Yesterday, our team had a fantastic time attending the Semi-Annual City-Wide Career Fair hosted by the Montgomery Career Center! With over 60 employers, including private companies and government agencies like Alabama State Personnel, Coco-Cola Bottling Co. United, Buffalo Rock, Montgomery Fire & Rescue, Montgomery Police Department, Steris, and more, it was an incredible opportunity to connect with local talent. The fair, organized by Montgomery Career Center, a division of the Alabama Department of Labor’s Employment Services, provided a one-stop shop for job seekers in industries like construction, healthcare, and government. From resume preparation to workforce training, the Montgomery Career Center is making a big impact on our community's workforce! 💼 . . #WorkforceDevelopment #CareerFair #MontgomeryChamber #ConnectingTalent #MontgomeryCareerCenter
