About us

Celebrated the third Tuesday of September, National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday celebrating democracy in the United States. First observed in 2012, it has quickly gained momentum, registering more than 5 million voters on the holiday to date. National Voter Registration Day involves volunteers and organizations from all over the country hitting the streets in a single day of coordinated efforts to reach tens of thousands of voters who may not register otherwise. The holiday has been endorsed by the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS), National Association of State Election Directors (NASED), U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC), and National Association of Election Officials (The Election Center).
