  • Hey Wolfpack! 🐺🙌 We hope you all enjoyed the career fair and we hope you are all reflecting on the experience! When deciding about companies you are interested in, it's important to keep current industry trends in mind. Here are a couple of examples: Sustainability🌿 Reducing our carbon footprint is a trend that engineers are seriously focusing on. Industries involved with energy and transportation are especially interested in limiting their carbon emissions to better help our planet Artificial Intelligence🧠 Machine learning has taken the world by storm, aiding nearly every aspect of our lives. The demand for new and better algorithms, increased efficiency, and large data analysis can promote real-world effects when applied correctly. Energy Storage🔋 Innovations in battery technology are essential for the widespread usage of renewable energy and electric vehicles. Improvements in energy density can save weight and space, allowing for more efficient systems with a smaller form factor Space Exploration🚀 Space is becoming more commercialized than ever before. New technologies in rockets, satellites, and space sciences have accelerated the aerospace sector into a rapidly growing industry. Biotechnology🧬 Engineering innovations in the biomedical field will improve the overall well-being of us all. Topics such as tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and wearable devices can always be improved to better meet the needs of patients. While just a few were listed here, there are more innovations & trends in the engineering field that will be important to your job decision. Be sure to keep these in mind when decisions are starting to be made. We hope to see you all next semester at the Spring Career Fair! #Engineering #CareerFair #IndustryTrends #Innovations #NCState #CareerSuccess

  • 👔 Dressing for Success at the Engineering Career Fair👗 Are you getting ready for the engineering career fair? While “Business Professional” attire is the standard, you don’t always need a full suit to make a great impression. Here’s how to pull off a polished look: Dress Pants & Button-Down: Men, a sharp pair of dress pants paired with a well-fitted button-down shirt can work just as well. Ladies, tailored dress pants or a professional skirt with a blouse is a great option. 👔👗 Footwear: Opt for closed-toe dress shoes that are comfortable for standing and walking throughout the event. 👞 Grooming: Pay attention to the details—neat hair, clean nails, and a well-groomed appearance matter. 💇💅 Accessories: Keep it simple and professional. Subtle jewelry or a classic watch can enhance your look. ⌚💎 Portfolio or Folder: Bring a professional portfolio to carry your resume and take notes. It adds to your professional presentation. 📁 Need professional clothes? Check out the NC State Career Development Center’s closet where you can borrow business attire to ensure you’re dressed for success. ✅ Confidence is key! When you feel good about your appearance, it reflects in your interactions. Best of luck at the fair! #Engineering #CareerFair #BusinessProfessional #ProfessionalAttire #NCState #CareerSuccess
