The University of North Georgia's Cumming campus has joined the 4 Minute City initiative, a project designed to ensure anyone who suffers cardiac arrest in Forsyth County is within four minutes of an AED. Northside Hospital Forsyth and the Northside Hospital Heart Institute partnered with public safety agencies in Cumming and Forsyth County on the project, along with Avive Solutions Inc. UNG police officers and campus Executive Director Ken Crowe will have devices and be ready to respond to emergencies on and near campus when alerted by Forsyth County 911. The announcement of UNG Cumming joining the 4 Minute City project was made earlier this month at a Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce board meeting.
