  • We’ve announced the Phase 2 winners from the Making Advanced Technology Commercialization Harmonized (Lab MATCH) prize! Each winner was awarded $30,000 for paving a pathway to commercialization for intellectual property (IP) from a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory. The Lab MATCH prize asks entrepreneurs to work towards bringing groundbreaking National Lab IP to market. In Phase 1 competitors selected their specific IP, and in Phase 2 they have developed detailed plans for successful licensing and commercialization. Nine teams were selected as Phase 2 winners! Next, in Phase 3, these teams will showcase significant progress in moving their IP towards being market-ready, in the hopes of being select to win $100,000 for their efforts!   • 🌟Highlights from the first-ever Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) National Consortium Annual Workshop 🌟 Last month, consortium members, researchers, and industry experts convened to push forward innovative LDES solutions that will transform grid resiliency and support a decarbonized future. The event featured keynote speakers and discussion sessions covering a broad spectrum of challenges—and opportunities—facing the LDES space. Nearly 200 industry experts and stakeholders attended. Most notably, on the second day of the workshop, the consortium published their first set of Industry Recommendations aimed at overcoming key commercialization challenges for LDES technologies.
