🏠Places for People, recently secured £31M from the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund (Wave 3) as part of the Thriving Communities Consortium alongside Paradigm Housing Group, Thrive Homes UK, Accent Group Ltd, West Kent Housing Association, Papworth Trust and Eddystone Housing. The funding will upgrade 2,700 homes across the UK to become warmer, and more efficient. 🌱 As the Training Academy of Places for People, PfP Thrive will deliver free or discounted green skills training to all consortium members, focusing on upskilling workers in retrofit, heat pumps, solar tech, and insulation. 🛠️ In addition to having such a meaningful impact for Communities, we’re proud to be creating sustainable career pathways for 150 new apprentices! #GreenSkills #GreenSkillsTraining #SocialHousing #WarmHomes #NetZero #SustainableHousing #Retrofit #ThrivingCommunities

🏠The Government's pledge to deliver 1.5 million new homes in England by 2029 will reduce house prices and make buying and renting homes more affordable. 🛠️But for every 10,000 new homes to be built, the sector needs about 30,000 new recruits across 12 trades, according to the Home Builders Federation.
