𝐔𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐔 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚’𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬   The latest research conducted by EAC International Consulting and published by us today highlights a critical juncture for Europe. China’s photonics market share has soared from 10% in 2005 to over 30%, thanks to substantial government and regional investments.   With China poised to reach €315 billion in photonics production by 2025, EU experts are urging increased funding to safeguard Europe’s technological independence and economic competitiveness. 📢 Photonics21 President Dr Lutz Aschke states, "Policymakers must take heed of China’s market and technological leadership. China is penetrating sectors traditionally dominated by Europe, such as laser manufacturing, sensing, optical components and systems. The future of our innovation and industry rests on our ability to match China’s strategic advancements and secure our place in the global market. We must urgently increase funding for Europe’s photonics industry to keep pace and close the gap in critical technologies."
