  • Focus on taking slow, deep breaths. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Breathing deeply can have an effect on your brain, which may help you relax and stop the flow of tears. Even if you feel like crying, try to relax your facial muscles so your expression is neutral. Parenthood Stages Fertility Health & Wellness Conditions & Concerns Relationships Products Why they cry How to stop it When to call the doc Bottom line We all benefit from a good cry. It releases stress, eases anxiety, and sometimes it just feels exhilarating. Babies, toddlers, and young children all cry for a variety of reasons. And while it may feel frustrating, there is a purpose to it. There are four primary and universal emotions that we all share (even our toddlers!). “Anger, happiness, sadness, and fear — and crying can be an expression of all those emotions and the feelings associated with them,” explains Donna Housman, EdD, a clinical psychologist and founder of the Boston-based Housman Institute. Most commonly, Housman says we cry with sadness, but it’s not uncommon for adults or children to cry when experiencing any of these emotions. That said, if it seems like your kid is crying for no reason or is inconsolable, it’s worth considering why they might be crying, so that you can find a reasonable and effective solution.

  • The four basic stages of learning are Acquisition, Proficiency, Maintenance, and Generalization. All people learn in the same order, but not all learn at the same rate (speed). An individual's rate of learning is influenced by how quickly their brain processes information. This infographic illustrates the 4 main stages of the instructional hierarchy (acquisition, fluency, generalization, adaptation) and can be used as a quick reference. • Today is collap : What is androphonia. Androphonia is a speech disorder that causes females to have a low-pitched voice that sounds like a male voice. The word is a combination of "andro," which means male, and "phonia," which means sound. Androphonia can be treated with voice rehabilitation and voice feminizing surgery. Voice feminization techniques include vocal fold shortening, retrodisplacement of the anterior commissure (VFSRAC), and retraining the voice pattern. Another technique is the use of a CO2 laser to elevate vocal pitch. Androphonia is abnormally low pitched voice less than 100Hz like male voice in females. The rarest phobia: 21 Rare and Weird Phobias You've Likely Never Heard Of Arachibutyrophobia (Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth) ... Nomophobia (Fear of being without your mobile phone) ... Arithmophobia (Fear of numbers) ... Plutophobia (Fear of money) ... Xanthophobia (Fear of the color yellow) ... Ablutophobia (Fear of bathing) The fear of males called: Androphobia: People who have androphobia have a fear of men. Phobia means fear, and “andros” is the Greek word for man. A person with androphobia experiences extreme anxiety or fear of men. For some people, even images of men bring on immediate phobia symptoms. The primary treatment of androphobia is psychotherapy, also called talk therapy. The two most common forms of psychotherapy used to treat androphobia are exposure therapy and behavioral therapy. In some cases, medication is also used as a part of the treatment plan. Puberphonia is characterized by the failure to transition into the lower pitched voice of adulthood. In conjunction with an atypically high pitch, common symptoms include a weak, breathy, or hoarse voice, as well as a low vocal intensity, pitch breaks, and shallow breathing. People with fears about coming into contact with sperm may be triggered by situations involving beds, sheets, sex, public restrooms, their own bathrooms, sinks, outhouses, dirty clothes, or any surface where they feel that there could potentially be sperm. The Little Girl Voice is an informal name for a vocal trait in adult women that is caused by psychological trauma before the onset of puberty. Women that are affected speak in a higher sounding, child-like pattern, usually in a manner similar to the age at which they suffered the traumatic event. Rely on your breathing exercises. If you're feeling nervous as you're getting ready to start speaking, focus on your breathing. Pretend you have that towel around your waist, and push it out a few times. The oxygen will energize you, while focusing on the exercise will calm your nerves. Gynophobia is a fear — or phobia — of women. People with this condition often experience fear or anxiety that can interfere with daily life. And despite common myth, gynophobia is not simply misogyny but a real phobia.

  • Today's collaboration topic was given by Priyanka garu(OT) TODAY COLLABORATION TOPIC:- Today Collab topic is:-What is deformational plagiocephaly? Deformational, or positional, plagiocephaly is when a baby develops a flat spot on one side of the head or the whole back of the head. It happens when a baby sleeps in the same position most of the time or because of problems with the neck muscles that result in a head-turning preference. Deformational plagiocephaly is also sometimes called “flat head syndrome.” Deformational plagiocephaly is different from craniosynostosis. Craniosynostosis is when a baby’s skull bones fuse together before they are supposed to. In deformational plagiocephaly, there is no fusion of the skull bones. What causes deformational plagiocephaly? When a baby’s head stays in one position for long periods of time, the skull flattens. Sometimes a baby is born with this flattening because of a tight space in the uterus. This risk is often increased if there are twins or multiples. Other things that may lead to deformational plagiocephaly include: Muscular torticollis. Muscular torticollis is a problem that is present at birth (congenital). One or more of the neck muscles is very tight. This tightness keeps the baby’s head in the same position. Prematurity. The skull bones of premature babies are softer. And many premature babies spend a lot of time in the hospital on respirators with their heads in the same position. Back sleeping. Babies who sleep on their backs or in car seats without changing positions for long periods of time can develop flat heads. However, the safest way for babies to sleep is on their back. This reduces the risk for sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). How is deformational plagiocephaly treated? Treatment will depend on your baby’s symptoms, age and general health. It will also depend on how severe the condition is. Treatment may include: Changing your baby’s sleep position by turning the head to the opposite side (repositioning therapy) Maximizing tummy time when your baby is awake and minimizing time in infant devices (such as bouncers, swings and car seats) Receiving physical therapy to promote symmetric development of trunk and neck muscles#RaiseAgainstautism #PinnacleSaysItAll #PinnacleBloomsNetwork #1AutismTherapyCentresNetwork
