This week, President Trump declared a national energy emergency. Inadequate energy generation and infrastructure is making us too dependent on foreign nations and driving up domestic prices. Upscaling domestic infrastructure and streamlining our permitting processes can help combat these issues over the long term. New infrastructure projects will also allow the U.S. to accommodate the increasing demands for energy and manufacturing output, enhancing our national security and global competitiveness. What can we do in the meantime? Plastics can help everyday Americans improve energy efficiency and lower personal costs. Plastic insulation in homes can help conserve energy, while lightweight plastic can help cars reduce weight and improve fuel efficiency. https://lnkd.in/e8apKxuy
